Packs 4 Kidz was launched as a comprehensive fundraising campaign, which sought to supply underprivileged children with backpacks full of supplies for the 2014 school year. The packs included notebooks, pencils, headphones, calculators, and other various supplies. With the funds generated from this campaign we donated to 3 different schools in The Valley (Children First Academy-Tempe, Sequoia School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, and Starshine Academy).
CFA Tempe- Donated approximately 250 backpacks filled with supplies and water bottles, 15 kindles. This was the first major donation as a result of our wildly successful Packs 4 Kidz campaign. We were able to supply every single student in the school with the backpacks and water bottles. We came in at lunch time and handed out the backpacks to everyone, and the kids were as excited as ever.
Starshine Academy- We donated box jumps, hurdles, 10 footballs, 10 basketballs, and other athletic equipment. Ink 4 Kidz contacted Trish McCarty, a noted entrepreneur turned educator, and instantly connected to Starshine’s unorthodox vision for education. Located in one of the worst neighborhoods in Phoenix, we donated much needed athletic equipment to Starshine Academy to power their sports program.
Sequoia School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing- We donated close to $10,000 worth of school supplies, which included tablets, digital cameras, tri-pods, and a technology cart. Ink 4 Kidz worked with Sharyn Logue from CFA Tempe in order to make this donation possible.
